Tertulias Porteñas
The Tertulias Porteñas are conversation meetings organized by the CINV since 2012, the objective of which has been to show how neuroscience deals with the same issues as the rest of society, only that it often approaches them in a different way. Without a rigid or pre-established structure, the Tertulias seek to establish a conversation between guests from different disciplines (scientists, artists, humanists) on a topic they have in common.
The gatherings have addressed topics such as dreams, consciousness, language and emotions, among many others. The scientists Ennio Vivaldi, Diego Cosmelli, Chris Chipot; the anthropologist Patricia May, the actress Malucha Pinto, the filmmaker Ignacio Agüero, the psychologist Rafaella di Girolamo, Alessia Injoque, Alvaro Fischer, Sasha Mudd, Ziley Mora, Armando Roa, among others.
The writer Patricio Fernández, the director of the UV Editorial Cristián Warnken and the playwright Marco Antonio de la Parra have participated as moderators in its different seasons, summoning a diverse and large audience.
This is an event that has the support of the Extension Center of the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage (CENTEX), the radio station Valentín Letelier, the newspaper El Mercurio de Valparaíso, the Boutique Hotel Cirilo Armstrong, the Casa Cervecera Altamira, Tres Peces Restaurant and Cocinamar Foundation.
