About the Meeting

We are pleased to invite you to the Third Latin American Worm Meeting scheduled for March 15-19 of 2023 in Valparaíso, Chile.

The Latin American Worm Meeting brings scientists and friends together from all over the world. We aim at developing a strong new community of C. elegans researchers in our region, working together with global worm breeders. This is our third edition following two exciting and productive reunions in Uruguay (2017) and Argentina (2020).

The event will be held in Valparaiso, Chile, known as the ‘Jewel of the Pacific’. Valparaiso is notorious for its steep cable cars, colorful houses on the hills, and historic buildings. This picturesque coastal town is also home to La Sebastiana, the extravagant former residence of Chilean poet Pablo Neruda.
