Parque Cultural de Valparaíso

The Parque Cultural de Valparaíso ( Valparaíso Cultural Park) is one of the most important cultural devices in the country, officially inaugurated in 2011 and declared a site of memory by the State of Chile.

This public space has green areas and a viewpoint with a privileged view of the hills and the bay of Valparaíso. It has two national monuments and has top-level equipment for the promotion of various artistic disciplines. It is also a zone for citizen meeting and cultural participation that promotes coexistence among people.

The Parque Cultural de Valparaíso is more than a location to develop, present and experience the arts. It is an experience that places the public and communities in a site of memory and in a historical place, both for the material heritage and for the history of the place where it is located.

Today, more than ten years after the construction of the cultural infrastructure, it is recognized as a site of memory, cultural center and public space, with a regional vocation; that is linked to the communities from the task of its three vocations: patrimonial/memorial, artistic and territorial.

Palacio Baburizza

The final Social Event will be held in the Baburizza Palace.

This historic site is an Art Deco and Art Nouveau building built in 1916 and is located at the Paseo Yugoslavo. Since 1971 it has been the Fine Arts Museum of Valparaiso. It was declared a National Monument in 1979.

The Valparaíso Fine Arts Museum, which is housed in the beautiful Baburizza Palace, is an institution that watches over the care, protection and diffusion of the important pictorial collection that the city of Valparaíso has been gathering since 1895, and which stands out within the four most important art collections in Chile.
