Ciencia Al Tiro

Ciencia Al Tiro is an outreach program whose main goal is to stimulate the interest in Science and Technology in public school students from the city of Valparaiso.

This project, created by the CINV Researcher and the Scientist and Academic Kathleen Whitlock, PhD, s focused on students from different public schools from Valparaiso. Its purpose is to strengthen the link with community, contributing to the scientific learning of children through varied and entertaining workshops as well as with field trips.

The book La Alegría de la Ciencia, including workshops and practical activities for children, was launched in 2014. In 2017 La Alegría de la Ciencia was filmed, leading to an audiovisual production of short videos based on 10 chapters from the book holding the same name. This new material is oriented at basic education students and can be easily integrated in the classroom as complementary experimental workshops for students and was screened in open TV in May 2018.
