About CINV

XIV Latin American Symposium on Chronobiology 2017 - LASC 2017

The Centro Interdisciplinario de Neurociencia de Valparaíso (CINV) is an institute within the Universidad de Valparaiso. Its researchers study nervous system function at levels that range from biophysics to behavior.

The CINV plays an important role in training future neurobiologists by participating in the University’s Master’s and Ph.D. Program in Neuroscience, as well as in its Biophysics Ph.D.

In 2011, the CINV became the first Center within a public university to become an “Instituto Milenio”. Within the field of science, the Center actively collaborates in projects to revitalize Valparaíso.

In terms of outreach, the CINV offers a series of conferences, workshops and short courses to expose young scientists to modern neuroscience.
