Multiple Positions Available

Our lab is currently recruiting pre- and postdoctoral candidates with different backgrounds, skills and qualifications. We are using a combination of electrophysiology, optogenetics, and cellular biology approaches to understand mechanisms of neuronal communication and its regulation by different neuromodulators. We are interested in researchers with backgrounds in all biological disciplines, including electrophysiology, cellular/molecular biology, neuroscience, imaging, genetics, biochemistry, and biophysics.

Postdocs: Applicants should email a letter of intent, CV and names/contact information for 3 references that can provide a detailed account of your accomplishments and abilities to andres.chavez@einstein.yu.edu.
Some experience with neuronal recording using patch clamp electrophysiology is highly preferred.

Graduate Students: Our lab can accept students from our PhD and Master programs at the Universidad de Valparaiso as well as from any graduate program in Chile. Students interested in a lab rotation should email a cover letter and CV to andres.chavez@einstein.yu.edu.

Undergraduates: Students at different undergraduate institutions are welcome to apply to our lab to gain research experience and to perform their undergraduate thesis work. Interested students should email andres.chavez@einstein.yu.edu.
