Research Statement:

My methodological and theoretical research, as well as,  a considerable portion of my applied and collaborative work, addresses Computational Biology and Chemistry. An innovative contribution of my work is the establishment of a new perspective to insights into the interactions between several drug and proteins, combining Molecular Docking, QSAR, Molecular Dynamics Simulations and free energy calculation. Currently, our research aims to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the way that different conexines operate, using molecular dynamics simulation and quantum chemistry, At the moment, I am applying my computational skills, to elucidate the molecular basis of calcium binding sites to connexin 46 (Cx46).
